Recently Indian Post Department published a notification for fill up vacant posts of Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants in the postal circle of Kerela, Himachal, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana and Uttrakhand. Indian Post Department is a part of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Their head quarter is located in New Delhi. India is divided in 22 postal circles and it has total 155,333 post offices in all over country.
Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant Salary: Rs.5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400 + Admissible Allowances.
Require Eligibility for Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant:
Age Limit – Minimum 18 Years to Maximum 27 Years on Date 01/10/2012
Educational Eligibility – Minimum 60% (for OBC 55%, SC/ST 45%) in class-xII examination with English as a compulsory subject and should have studied local language of the state or Union Territory of the postal circle concerned or Hindi as a subject at least in Matriculation or equivalent.
