Staff Selection Commission’s main work is to conduct examination for making recruitment in group C and group B in various ministries of Government of India. SSC Eastern Region is going to conduct a recruitment examination for various posts of group B and group C.
Recently SSC ER invites applications from Indian Nationals. Mode of applying is offline. Eligible candidates can apply by sending an application form in a prescribed format. Selection will be through screening test, interview/ personality test/ proficiency test/ skill test.

Pay scale: Post of Preservation Assistant and Scientific Assistant are under the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/- with relevant grade pay and rest of the positions are under the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800/- with relevant grade pay.

- 1 vacancy is for the post of Data Processing Assistant Grade ‘A’ in the Directorate General of Mines Safety Dhanbad,
- 1 post is for Junior Technical Assistant for the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Kolkata,
- 1 is for Preservation Assistant Grade-1 in the department of Botanical Survey of India of Industrial Section Museum Kolkata,
- 1 is for Junior Engineer in civil department of Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships under the Ministry of Shipping,
- 3 are for Scientific Assistant-I in the Directorate of plant Protection under the Department of Agriculture & Cooperation Faridabad,
- 8 are for Senior Scientific Assistant-III for the Directorate of Plant Protection under the department of Agriculture & Cooperation.
