SBI Clerk Exam 2012 Syllabus | Entrance Exam Pattern | Practice Question Papers:
SBI have requirement of 25900 clerks and 5400 probationary officers in the coming years. The State Bank of India is conducting the written exam for clerks on 18th March, 2012. The level of competition in this exam of the largest public sector bank SBI is going to be very high. So to clear this exam, you have to choose the right study material.

The syllabus for the SBI Clerk Entrance Exam is based completely on the syllabus of class 10+2. It will be from different boards like State, ISE and CBSE. The candidates must be acquainted with the syllabus of class 10+1 and 10+2.

The main aim of SBI entrance exam is to recruit candidates into the clerical posts. The selection of the candidates is done by way of a written test and an interview. Only those candidates who clear the entrance test with high scores will be asked to appear for the interview. Depending on the candidate’s presentation in the interview, they will be chosen for the job.

The Bank Clerk Examination will comprise of 4 subjects generally. They are:

Test of Reasoning
Numerical Ability
Test of English Language
Clerical Aptitude

But, according to the new scheme that has been announced by the State Bank of India, there will be 6 tests. They include:

Computer /Marketing
General Awareness
General English
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning Ability

Out of this, General English is a mandatory subject. The exam will have duration of 140 minutes. The questions will be of the objective type with multiple choices. This method will permit the students to choose the accurate answer from the set that is provided to them. Negative marking is there in the written test. For every incorrect answer given by the students, 1/4th marks will be taken away from them.

The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be printed bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.
