Get latest update for new jobs – West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has published an advertisement for recruitment of lady constables in West Bengal Police Force. Indian Nationals with the domicile of West Bengal can apply and that too latest by 30th March 2012 through an application form. Application form will be available from 27th February 2012.
Government of West Bengal manages all its activities. It is headed by Director General of Police and who is normally known as DGP. WB Police posses 7 police ranges along with a railway range. It creates law and orders for maintaining peace in the state.

Total 2940 vacancies are for the post of Lady Constables for all districts of West Bengal under the pay scale of Rs.5400-25200/- with grade pay of Rs.2600/-.
Eligibility: Candidates age should be above 18 years and even should be below 27 years. She should have passed matriculation examination from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or any other equivalent qualifications. Candidate’s height should be at least 160cms and weight should be proportional to age and height as per medical standard.
Selection will be through Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, and Interview and at last Medical Examination. After physical measurement, candidates will be called for physical efficiency test which will consist of 400 m race in 2 minutes.
After clearing PET, shortlisted candidates will be called for an objective type written test which will be of 90 marks. Now, selected candidates will have to appear in an interview which will be of 10 marks and at last shortlisted candidates will be called for medical examination at the State Government designated Hospitals.
