The Gauhati High Court is situated in Guwahati, Assam. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram come under the jurisdiction of Gauhati High Court. It was formerly known as High Court of Assam and Nagaland.
Gauhati High Court has published advertisement for the recruitment of dedicated and work oriented candidates. Eligible and interested candidates can avail this opportunity by applying in a prescribed format latest by 1st November 2011.
Selection of the candidates will be based on written test, Stenography test and viva-voce test. Only citizens of India can apply. Selection will be based on written test and viva-voce. 9 posts are offered for Stenographer Grade-I under the pay scale of Rs.12000-40000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5900/- and extra perks.
Candidates for this post should have a relevant degree of Graduation from recognized university along with diploma in Stenography in English with at least 120 words per minute in shorthand and 50 words per minute in computer. Candidates those having a Degree in Law will be preferred.
Candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and even not more than 38 years of age. Candidates has to attach some necessary documents with the application form and these documents are duly signed 2 copies of passport size photographs, treasury challan in original, copy of caste certificate, self attested copies of shorthand/stenography and computer / typewriting certificate and also no objection certificate.
