Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR was formed by the Government of India under the Department of Space. It is located at Sriharikota of Andhra Pradesh and is a launch centre of Indian Space Research Organization. Formerly it was known as Sriharikota High Altitude Range [SHAR]. The SHAR facility has 2 launch pads. It has a combination of Solid Propellant Production Plant, Rocket Motor Static Test Facility, launch Complexes.
An advertisement number SDSC SHAR/RMT/05/2011 has been published in the official website of SHAR. Through this advertisement, SHAR invites applications from Indian Nationals for various posts of Technicians and Typists under the pay scale of Rs. 5200 – 20200/-. All the positions are on contract basis.
14 vacancies are for the post of Technician B for the trade of fitter, machinists, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Welder, Chemical, Plumber and Diesel Mechanic. For this post, candidates should have passed SSLC / SSC and also should posses certificate of ITI / NTC / NAC in the relevant trade. Candidates will get emolument of Rs. 12775/- per month approximately. Candidates’ age should be more than 18 years and should be less than 35 years.
1 post is for typists with gross emolument of Rs. 14964/- per month approximately. 60% marks in Graduation along with Hindi typing speed of 30 wpm and proficiency in the use of computers with knowledge of English language is very essential. For these positions, candidates’ age should be between 18 – 26 years.
