It was known as Gandhiji University and offers various academic programmes in different political and non political disciplines. More than 183 colleges are affiliated with M G University. Along with Kottayam campus, it has 8 other satellite campus located at the districts of Idukki and Pathanamthitta.
The Mahatma Gandhi University is seeking qualified and academically productive faculty members from Indian Nationals who have strong commitment in innovative teaching and high quality research in various disciplines and subjects for appointment on regular basis.
4 posts are for Professors for the school of Pure & Applied Physics, School of Chemical Science, School of Social Sciences and School of Indian legal thoughts. For this post, along with the degree of Ph.D in the relevant field, 10 years of teaching experience is required. 5 vacancies are for the post of Associate Professors for the School of Pure & Applied Physics, School of Chemical Science, School of Environmental Science and School of Tourism Studies. 8 years of experience with degree of Ph.D and master’s degree is required.
10 positions are for Assistant Professors for the school of Management & Business Studies, School of Letters, School of Gandhian Thought & Development Studies, School of Computer Sciences, School of Tourism Studies, School of Behavioural Sciences and Department of Communication & Journalism. For this post, candidates should have cleared NET (National eligibility Test).
Salary under the pay scale of Rs. 37400 – 67000/- is fixed for the post of Professors and Associate Professors while Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Professors will get salary under the pay scale of Rs. 15600 – 39100/-. And also for all the above positions, candidate’s age should not be more than 40 years.
