Job Description:

Job Title: Junior Engineer (Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical)

Number of vacancies: 148 vacancies (which may extend up to 350)

Salary: A fixed remuneration of Rs.10000/- per month will be given to appointed candidate for first two years. After that, pay scale of Rs.9300 - 34800/- + G.P. Rs.3200/- will be applicable.

Educational Qualification: Candidate should have completed Diploma in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or B.E./B. Tech. in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with Minimum 60% marks for General, 55% for OBC/SBC and 50% for SC/ST/PH candidates.

Age Limit: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years as on 01/01/2014.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is permissible as per the rules of government.

Dates to Remember: Last date for online application is 30/04/2013 up to 11.59 PM. Last date for receipt of filled application is 07/05/2013 up to 06.00 PM.

Application Fees: Candidates of General/OBC/SBC category candidates should have to furnish a Demand Draft of Rs.250/- (Rs.125/- for SC/ST/PH category candidates) from any nationalized bank in favor of “RKCL” or “Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited” payable at Jaipur.
Selection Process: Selection of the candidate will be made on the basis of merit list.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is a commission formed under constitution of India in 1923 to ensure capability and sustainability in people. That time it was formed at Madras Public Service Commission.

British government established a public service commission in year 1923. The objective of commission was to examine the salary structure of the Indian civil services. The commission was formed with Britishers and Indian together. After sometime, it came under an act of the Madras Legislature in 1929. The Madras Service Commission became Madras Public Service Commission after constitution of some states. The headquarters of office was at Madras in the year 1957.

When the name of the state changed to Tamil Nadu, the commission also get new name Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission in year 1970. Tamil Nadu public service commission is headed by the chairman and fourteen other members appointed by government of Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducts examinations for service of the state recruitment. The examination and tests are held by the commission for the selection of right candidates.

The aim of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is to create INDEPENDENT, IMPARTIAL, ETHICAL, EFFECTIVE AND CAPABLE constitution that can face the new challenges.
